Amerigen is currently seeking an experienced, talented and well-organized project manager to join our Product Development team located at our New Jersey, US site. As a project manager, you will report to the Director of Project Management.

The employee with these abilities will demonstrate confidence and command through their persistent attention to detail, prioritization, and follow-through. The project manager also works closely with the project team in the development and tracking of project timelines and estimates; responsible for the coordination of departmental functions and external contract sites; possesses excellent abilities in organization, professional communication and diligence. Moreover, the successful project manager is keenly aware of who is working on a project, what the next task is and when it is due.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Create estimates and timelines for manager and team
  • Maintain project timelines to reflect project progress or new direction in accordance with established processes
  • Update timelines based on client and/or internal changes. Establishing and keeping accurate timelines throughout the life of a job is critical to the job function
  • Remind the team of upcoming due dates and alert the other team members if agreed upon due dates are not going to be met, both internally and externally
  • Create and own daily status reports including Daily, Nightly, and Weekly editions
  • Lead routine status meetings
  • Proactively inform project team of project progress, delays, and emerging issues
  • Champion the company’s Job Flow Process (JFP)
  • Route jobs through all relevant departments and secure signatures at all stages of the job
  • Monitor and assist team members in following the JFP (keep documentation of any skipped steps/signatures)
  • Organize and maintain all project-related Job Site documents in the company’s central repository
  • Attend vendor/business partner calls, understand the changing priorities, and update the project plans to reflect acceleration or delays in the timeline
  • Track, organize, and process all project-related email communications
  • Display the ability to respond to changing conditions without being frustrated
  • Develop knowledge of contractor’s process/procedures and the people involved–and interact appropriately
  • Assist peers when workload permits
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Project Management
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor or master’s degree science or health related field
  • 1-3 years project experience in pharmaceutical or related industry managing projects from kickoff to commercialization
  • Must be highly organized and an effective, professional communicator
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Able to maintain positive attitude
    Master company tools and process such as:

  • Sharepoint document server
  • MS Project (timeline creation and maintenance)
  • SmartSheet (timeline creation and maintenance)
  • Job Flow Process
  • Cloud-based file transfer/storage such as One-drive, Dropbox, or Box
  • MS Office 365 and associated programs
